Cool Parts Of Songs

The 50 Coolest Song Parts:

Song parts? Sure! From the openings strains of Heart’s “Barracuda” to the end of The Doors’ “The End”, sometimes there are pieces of songs that are cooler than the song itself.

They include explanations of why the part of the song is cool. For example, The Rolling Stone’s Gimme Shelter:

The opening guitar of this song is just plain eerie and spooky as it comes creeping up on you like a ghost, and the ethereal “Ooooooooohhhhhhhhh” wafting over the distance. And let’s not forget Merry Clayton’s insanely great screaming vocals throughout this tune as well, both parts deserve recognition!

I would’ve included the Pink Floyd’s The Great Gig In The Sky from Dark Side of the Moon as an example of great screaming vocals.
