I Don’t Own A Suit

Darren Barefoot bought a suit recently:

This brings my current stock of suits to a grand total of two. As I read recently in Esquire, better to have two good suits than five cheap ones.

I’ve never owned a suit, despite my working in an office environment. I had to wear one (in silent protest) for a funeral and maybe a wedding. For my wedding I wore corduroy pants and a yellow bow-tie.

Suits rub me the wrong way; they represent a lot of things to me that I don’t like: formality, business, greed…

Or maybe I’m making excuses for my lack of fashion sense, which I simply cannot relate to; fashion, that is (as proven by my wedding attire).

I watched your wedding video last night. It’s a nice yellow bow-tie. Maybe you should get a yellow suit.
