You understand the phrase, “Could you pass me a serviette, I just dropped my poutine, on the chesterfield.”

Hold on --- I thought chesterfield was American. I thought we said couch in Canada! What the hell's going on here? First it's donuts instead of doughnuts, and then it's chesterfield instead couch? What the...? Is this Bizarro world or something?

I'm serious!

You get excited whenever an American television show mentions Canada.

I was watching the first season of NORTHERN EXPOSURE on DVD about a month ago, and I heard the character, Rick, a bush pilot, mention Talkeetna. That was cool.

You perk up when you hear the theme song from “Hockey Night in Canada.”

Damn straight! Who doesn't? I friend of mine was living in the States for the past 4 years working on his PhD, and said he became almost suicidal during play-off time because he couldn't pick up Hockey Night in Canada in Philly.

Of course, you also know you're a Canadian if you understand the term "double-double" or "2-4" eh?
