Burning Books

Jody posted this at 7:30 pm under reading & writing, religion

This is sad: Book Burning: A True Christian® Tradition:

The truth is, burning a book is one of the most loving things a Christian could do for a person they really care about.

I don’t know what’s funnier: their “truth”, or their use of the registered trademark symbol.

This is the fourth time I’ve posted items from this source. Keep ‘em coming!

Uh, you do realize that site is satire and parody, right? This is like expressing extreme surprise or outrage at a Scrappleface news report.

lol….it appears that Kevin is expressing extreme surprise or outrage that you’ve posted a link to a satirical site. Uh, Kevin, you do realize that this is a blog, right?

    OBJECTIVE: Landover Baptist Shutdown:

The Internet was created by the United States of America - a Christian nation [ref. 1, 2, 3] - and should not be used to spread anti-Christian, secular, or non-Christian propaganda and hatespeech. This is our Internet, and we should exercise our position as its owners and as the guardians of civilization to stop its misuse.

And it wasn’t clear to me the site WAS satirical; those Christians will believe anything. ANYTHING.
