Paul IS DeadRock’s 10 Wildest Myths:

With dead rockers often appearing alive, and live rockers often whispered to have died long ago, rock & roll is indeed ripe with mystery. From the bats to the cows to the elephants to the ham sandwiches, here is the devil’s best work…

They include the myths of Paul McCartney being dead (he isn’t, at least not yet), and Ozzy biting the heads off bats (he did bite one, but he thought it was a toy - it wasn’t).

I hadn’t heard of half of the myths they list.
