♫ A Song for Jenny ♫

Phillip posted this at 11:11 pm under humor, life, music & audio, phillip's room, wwr

Jenny - Phillip decided to test out my girlfriend Jenny’s new laptop by recording a podcast (or mudcast) on it — originally posted here as a 10-minute MP3 file, but through the magic of editing, it’s now a more easily digestible 6 minutes (with me playing some classical guitar in the background). The first couple minutes is me trying to play something that someday might become a song for Jenny — with me trying not to laugh the whole time. The rest of it is Jenny and me talking about how the song came about and how tiring it is to be sociable — that is, how most of the time we’d rather spend the day with each other doing nothing than hang out with most of our friends.

This is the roughest mudcast I’ve recorded so far, and the sound quality is not good. There’s static, crackling and hiss on the line, and some distortion. (I won’t be recording on Jenny’s laptop again.) I may decide to remove this post if I find it doesn’t hold up to the high standards of my previous podcasts.

NOTE: All podcasts are removed after a few months.

This is the only picture you will ever see of me wearing a baseball cap. (Unless, of course, I start going bald.)

Your laughing fits always make me laugh.

Yeah, Jenny and I have decided that if we bother to record another podcast, we’re not going to post it unless we’re laughing at ourselves throughout the whole thing. It just doesn’t work otherwise. The current version of this podcast, which begins with a fit of laughter, sounds a lot better than the original 10-minute version which was much noisier, didn’t have any background music and took too long to get off the ground… Oh, I have so much to learn about podcasting!

There, there, Phillip. You’re doing a fabulous job so far!
