My Harbour View
From my 6th floor apartment balcony, I used to have a fairly unobstructed view of Halifax Harbour. That is until yesterday when THIS got in the way (1-minute video, 1.8mb).
It’s not denial. I’m just selective about the reality I accept.
Can you imagine climbing all the way up and suddenly realizing that you need to use the washroom?
What are they building?
When I was in Toronto last year, I sat in an office and watched a crane for almost four days. It was facinating (the meetings were super-boring) trying to figure out the engineering behind them - the system of couterweights and pullys and balancing.
They’re building another apartment building, a condo, next to the one that’s already blocking most of our view of the harbour. There’s construction going on everywhere in Halifax, and has been since I moved here last August. I don’t think there are any unobstructed views of the harbour left.
