Your Favourite Chord ♫

When I pick up my guitar, the first chord I usually play is A-minor, or variations around A-minor. I’ve always liked the sound of it. It’s my default chord. It’s always there. So I guess that makes it my favourite. Leisurely picking around Am in the morning just after breakfast; that’s something I do every day.

Anyone else have a favourite chord?

  1. Jody says:

I like playing with A-minor up around the 5th fret for some reason.

    I’ve always liked C-seventh.

  2. Rebecca says:

When I took keyboard lessons eons ago, I was always fond of the C-G-F chord progression. B-flat was kind of fun, also.

  3. Jody says:

On the piano I fool around with this progression a lot: C-minor, A-flat-minor,E-flat-minor, B-flat-minor. I think; I’m trying to imagine my hands playing the keyboard here at work.

  4. Bill Reid says:

Either Cadd9flat5 or C#madd7th. Or just a big Gmaj.

  5. Pender says:

I use an extension chord to keep my pants up sometimes when I can’t find my belt.

  6. Jason says:

I am fond of G major and all it progessions.
