Two Words: Bacon. Loaf.

Phillip posted this at 9:28 pm under food & drink, movies, tv & video, phillip's room

I’ve been saying we’d make figgy duffy since Sunday Morning Scoff began. But the second I heard about bacon loaf, I knew we had to make it. A loaf of bacon. How could anyone resist that?

We quickly discovered that ‘loaf’ is somewhat of a misnomer. But who cares? It’s still bacon.

So here it is, the most incredible (by which we mean disgusting) instructional video in this series yet: Bacon Loaf (2mb, 2mins).

Previously on Sunday Morning Scoff: Fish Cakes.

I’m looking forward to the figgy duff episode. I’ve been curious about it since one of my profs in undergrad loaned me his Figgy Duff CD.

I just installed ubuntu linux for amd64 and couldn’t get windows drivers for windows media formats. I worked on it for about 4 hours with no go. So I downloaded the i386 version of ubuntu and installed that and worked on it for a while and eventually got your video working.

It took me about 8 hours of work to watch your video.

    Looked yummy!

ahhahahahaha, that was great! maybe if i try it with the bacon sitting on one of those cooling racks, it will diminish the fat soaking effects… it definitely looks like it needs to be dried a bit more….somehow… nice video though!

Instead of using a bread pan so it soaks in its grease for an hour, maybe try a grill.

Real bacon loaf recipes. (As opposed to big, disgusting, block of pig fat recipes. Which is what I cooked. And ate.)
