Mud Radio is going to be on low-bandwidth autopilot today until I have to use the computer for something else.

I'll turn the webcast on again next Friday if I'm not busy. Yesterday I played music and got on the mic between songs for a couple hours, and I enjoyed it. Even if no one's listening, I find it relaxing. So I'll more than likely keep it up, once a week, just for myself. I recorded the stream yesterday for the 2 hours I was on the mic, then played the whole thing back on a continuous loop while I was out of the house (until the power went out). I'll probably do that again, too, because even if it's a live voice on tape, I prefer some semblance of a human touch over purely canned music.

ONE WEEK LATER: I'm sick with the flu. Otherwise, I probably would have turned on the webcast again this week. Until next Friday...

I absolutely would listen. I enjoy the music and don't be too hard on yourself; your skill behind the mic isn't that bad. We have a community radio station here in Kansas City and if you want to hear unskilled DJ's....well let's just say you're a superstar.

By the way, without going into details, I was having a particulaly bad day on Friday and when I tuned into Mud radio and you played that Danny Schmidt song, it helped a bunch!!! I will be looking forward to Friday.

We had an average of 5 people tuned in for awhile (and peaked at 7). That's a red letter day at Mud Radio.

Everytime I try this, I always fall into envy of Jim's skill behind the mic.

Jim, if you're out there, you might not be the best at this kind of thing (because who cares about being "the best," right?), but man, you are real, real good. Really.
