Whisky With A Lot Of Alcohol
Most whisky is 40% to 65% alcohol. This whisky news has been circulating lately:
A 184-proof whisky, and that’s no blarney:
Following a 17th century recipe, one of the eight artisanal whisky producers on the tiny Scottish isle of Islay will produce a dozen barrels of 184-proof [92% alcohol] whisky, the company announced.
The Bruichladdich distillery said it would install webcams so that customers thirsty with anticipation could watch the potentially lethal concoction come into being.
“If the distillery doesn’t explode during the process,” Bruichladdich added.

The Scotch Blog recently posted about this, describing the hub-bub it created in the press and whisky industry.
Cask-strength whisky (usually around 63%) is the strongest I’ve had, and I have no desire to have a stronger one. Too much alcohol ruins the subtle flavors, deadening your taste buds.

How drunk do you need to get? What about alcohol poisoning?
Unless they make some that’s 110%, they just ain’t giving it their all!
Why not just drink anti-freeze?
