Mud Radio is on the Air, Again, Sort of

Phillip posted this at 1:18 pm under music & audio, phillip's room

MUD RADIOFriday afternoons I’ll be turning on the Mud Radio webcast. It’s a pleasant way to unwind, to say goodbye to the week and hello to the weekend. I’ll play old and new music from my collection and get on the mic here and there. From time to time I might even have live performers in the big studio with me. I doubt I’ll get more than one or two listeners at a time, and that’s fine. There’s no scheduled time for any of this (besides being in the Atlantic Time zone), but you’ll know I’m webcasting when the “MUD RADIO is on the air” message shows up in the top right corner of this screen. I’ll record the whole thing, however long it lasts, and play it back on a loop when I’m done, which isn’t live, but at least it’s some semblance of a human touch, which I prefer over purely canned music. If I don’t feel like turning on the webcast, I won’t. It’s all just for fun.

Rebecca, here you go. I’ll play it again. I’ll loop it all night. (I was only the mic for an hour.)

Thanks! I won’t be around next week, but I’ll certainly try and catch it the week after

The Mud Radio page and the “Mud Radio is on the air” messasge thingy are out of commission until Jody fixes whatever he has to fix with his new server, which is apparently more reliable but slower.

    It’s fixed.

MUD RADIO will be on the air tonight (Thursday) instead of the usual Friday afternoon gig. I’ll be playing all the excellent music I’ve recently disocvered at OLD BLUE BUS. Real good down in the dirt music, you know what I’m talking about, the kind you gotta get between your toes. I have about an hour, an hour and a half, to kill, so I’m going to get on the mic, play some music, the usual deal. I’ll play some classical music until I’m ready to roll, which should be soon.

Great. You can hear my voice but no music? Lovely. When the sound card settings get screwed up, there’s no fixing them. Or there is, but it takes hours to figure out what stupid little button I have to find and then press! Argh! If you do ANYTHING ELSE that requires audio on your PC along with webcasting, it’s headache. It shouldn’t be, but is. Shite. That’s it. I don’t have time figure this out. No show tonight. Or tomorrow. Have a nice weekend everybody. See ya…

No live webcast today because I’m working. Instead, nothing but reggae. Mon!

Webcasting selections from my favourite albums now (as seen on J-Walk’s Blog!).
