My Greenhouse Tomatoes
Here’s an online slideshow of the tomatoes I grew this year. I had 4 regular tomato plants and 4 cherry tomato plants. The regular tomatoes eventually began to develop rot, so I had to pick most of them early while they were green. About half of the cherry tomatoes ripened on the vine; the rest are ripening now in a shoe box.
This is the first time I’ve grown any kind of vegetable. I didn’t really know what I was doing. I didn’t care for the plants as well as I should have. But despite my neglect, they turned out alright. Next year, I plan to grow at least twice as many plants. I hope I can grow them outside, too, where I’m told they grow more vigorously (if they can handle the cold nights of Newfoundland).
More pictures will be added to the slideshow as the tomatoes ripen!

phillip i am going to try and grow vegtables in the little patch in front of the market…I think tomatoes will be okay…what i really want to grow is corn…in a container….trying to do some urban gurilla gardening…when in season i refuse to eat those tasteless tomatoes found at most retailers….hey how is your coffee situation….
Hey Tom, my coffee situation is okay, though not as good as it was after you sent that shoe box full of coffee beans (the one and the same shoe box that is full of cherry tomatoes at the moment). That was real, real good coffee you sent me. Thanks.
By the way, I have TONS of movies I could send you on DVD (all my “back up” copies). My collection expands by about 10 titles a month, so I can barely manage to update the list. But I can send you the incomplete list I have so you can pick from it you’d like.
Corn is a bitch to grow. We got all our veggies this year from an organic farm, and although they got the corn to grow, it was mighty small (though extremely tasty compared to the crap I get a the grocery store). We’ve had organic potatoes, organic everything this year, and it’s been incredible.
