Scorsese’s “The Departed,” etc.

Anyone see Martin Scorsese’s latest film The Departed yet? It’s real good. Much better than anything he’s done for years. The best film I’ve seen this year. Some other movies I’ve recently seen:

Trailer Park Boys: The Movie — Wait for the video. Not horrible, but works better on TV.
Bubble — Steven Soderbergh’s experimental whodunit film. Thumbs up.
Caché — An engrossing film about a family being video taped by a stranger.
Crash — The lives of a bunch of racist people intertwine. Contrived but dramatic.
Snakes on a Plane — Worst movie of the year, and a lot of fun.
Miami Vice — Cancel that. This is the worst movie of the year.
World Trade Center — Patriotic tripe. Skip it.
Lady in the Water — A good director but a really bad script. His worst so far.
Little Miss Sunshine — The second-best film I’ve seen this year. A good story.
