R2-D2 Mailbox

Phillip posted this at 3:45 pm under phillip's room

R2-D2I wonder how many of these will get stolen? (I wouldn’t put my mail in one.)

From CBC.ca:

Three decades ago in a galaxy not so far away, filmmaker George Lucas launched Hollywood’s Star Wars phenomenon, and now the U.S. Postal Service is celebrating the film’s 30th birthday this year by decorating mailboxes to look like famed droid R2-D2.

    I really did a double-take when I saw this entry’s headline. Because just today I ordered a “2-2B” rural mailbox: http://www.homeandbeyond.com/prod-0088849.html

For just an instant my mind saw your post and thought “He ordered one today too!” Had that been the case, I would have finally seen that the entire internet is just another attempt by the aliens to see my Truman-like reaction to a bizarre reality (including two “brothers” who claim to be from New Brunswick) while millions watch me on their personal viewing devices…
