Wheat Dog Needs a Name
Looks like Jim and Esther over at Whole Wheat Radio gone done and got themselves dog — apparently a dog with no name. They’re looking for suggestions.
You can add your suggestions to the wiki page they’ve posted — or you can just click the comments link below.
I’ve been holding on to two dog names for years now — Morley and Ira — but I’m pretty sure I’ll pick something else by the time I get around to getting a dog. So those are my suggestions. Nigel is a good name, too. It’s my cat’s name, but he’s a pretty cool cat.
Poor doggy needs a name, folks. What do you say?
UPDATE: The dog’s name is Beta.

I’m saving any names I like for my own dog, when I come up with some names.
I was going to say “Wheatie” but it looks like someone took it.
I’ve always wanted to name a dog “Askum”. It would be funny to see the look on someone’s face when they say “What’s your dog’s name?” and you say “Askum”.
I know. I know.
I’ve become intrigued by the name Ianto (pronounced YAN-to) after a character on Torchwood. If I ever lose my mind completely and get two more cats, preferably siblings, I’m naming them Minty and Fango, after two characters from the movie Serenity.
digby, dory, kedgie, mira, tar pond, pogi, acoa, capt. morgan, some of the names bantered around before we settled for schooner….kinda regional theme….although i now call my dog, dog or swamp dog as often as its “proper” name….
come on jody whats the names churning in that noggin, what kinda dog are ya getting, pound pooch or uber breeder kind,…we are truely happy with this ducktoller….its a great animal…
He looks like a dog my childhood friend had.. The dog’s name was Chicken Bone, because it liked to eat that which dogs are never supposed to eat. Stupid childhood friend’s parents. :(
He also looks sorta like a black-bear.. Name him Funshine.
Everyone shoulda gotten that joke, if not then you’re a loser for not watching carebears. Loser.
