My Earliest Online Orders
While ordering some books from amazon.ca today, I tried to remember my earliest online order from ANY vendor; so I checked my order history from a few.
- Chapters.ca: October, 1999. This is the earliest I bought something online, according to the history of these retailers. The book was Baltimore’s Mansion by Wayne Johnston, which must’ve been a gift: I never read it.
- Amazon.com: May, 2000. Books.
- Amazon.ca: November, 2002. The Canadian version didn’t exist until that year, I think.
- Futureshop.ca: June, 2004.
I was surprised I started ordering online so late in the game.

Ha! My earliest order on Amazon was in 2001:
Intel Pocket Concert 128MB Digital Audio Player
But this was my THIRD MP3 player, and I ordered ALL of them on the internets, so I am going to say 1998 was my first order?? Maybe earlier.
I still have my original Diamond Rio MP3 player 32MB!
Oh, that Intel MP3 broke when I dropped into the toilet while taking a pee!
It was the never the same after that.
