salmon cooked on an open fire, blackened bread, fire charred potato, fire charred hot dog and a smattering of kettle corn popcorn…camping at a friends property…affectionally known as trashatopia….the kids love it….a cross between sanford and son and lord of the flies…tetnas shots a must…..

I spent half the day yesterday at the trailer in Shediac, setting up the awning and other stuff, preparing it for another summer seaon. We had BBQed salmon, hamburger, steak, and hot dogs with steamed beans and mashed turnips. Caitlyn then stayed the night but I just got a phone call: she’s homesick, stuck in the trailer during this rainy day.

I had steak, grilled veggies, and baked potato wedges. And, later, ice cream even though the temperature was hovering around the freezing mark here.

Beef Rogan Josh curry, rice and yoghurt.

You guys keep carrying on though, and it’ll be salmon tonight.

Tonight I had a big ole pork loin with pickled green tomato and broccoli. Not exactly summery food, but pretty good food. I like my meat.

BBQ chicken and bruschetta sprinkled with feta cheese, heated on the BBQ. The kids even loved it.
