Happy Birthday, Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan is spending his birthday this year in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He and his band performed last night and they’re playing again tonight. Here’s my ticket:

Yeah, it’s in the nosebleed section. I may attempt to smuggle in a camera. I’ll update this post if I take any grainy, blurry photos of him on stage.

    Dylan and his band were excellent. His voice is incredible. The sound in a large arena can’t compare to that of a smaller venue, but he was still pretty damn impressive.

    I saw Cohen tonight in a 1100-seat venue. Not a huge fan, but I got more from the music watching him tonight than I ever have from any of his records. For crooked old man, he can really put on a good show. Better than the Dylan, though a lot of that has to do with intimacy of the venue.
