I’m not Voting Conservative

Phillip posted this at 2:16 pm under canada

I’m not voting Conservative in next week’s election. I don’t trust Stephen Harper and I don’t share his values. Here’s a video about it. (I didn’t make the video. I’m just posting it.)

Judging only from the leaders debate from last week, I would vote for Elizabeth May because she seems the most informed of all the leaders; she refuses media training and instead honestly presents herself as she is; and she provides details and speaks in concrete terms when answering questions — most of which cannot be said about any other party leader. I won’t vote for her Green Party because although much of what they say seems sensible, they have a few too many half-baked ideas and some people running for seats who aren’t nearly as bright as Elizabeth May. I’d prefer it if she was the leader of the NDP.

I haven’t yet decided who I’m voting for.

That’s exactly what I felt after seeing the debate. May had it over everybody as far as I could tell.
I found Layton too harsh and critical and sparse with any real answers. Frankly, I was disappointed in him.
So, like you, if Elizabeth May was the leader of the NDP, I would vote for them. As it is, I’m still thinking. I don’t trust Harper, and I don’t think Dion has done anything with the opportunity he’s had.
