Now I can remember Vera Lynn

In all the time I listened to Pink Floyd’s The Wall, which asks the question, “Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?,” I never bothered to look around for Vera Lynn. Until now. Here she is singing a song that will be familiar to anyone who listened to The Wall ten thousand times when they were a teenager.

This brings tears to my eyes.

Mine too, MJ. Must admit I never saw the connection back in the Pink Floyd days. Good to know.

Now I wish I had never seen this post… It has been haunting me for days! It has completed that song-stuck-in-your-head syndrome and I can’t shake it. (Actually, I DO know the cure… hum the song “It’s a Small World Afterall”, but that’s brutal, it always sticks worse than anytrhing else.)
