Luna Moth On The Front Porch

The kids found this moth on the front porch this morning; it was huge.

It’s a Luna Moth (Actias luna).

I think it was dying: it wasn’t reacting to our presence, even when I gently picked it up and put it in the garden.

    I have these all over my place. They always seem to land in the same spot every year. The most I have had in one location is 5. They are pretty cool looking.
