What is this?

I bought this at the farmers market today. It’s edible. Anyone want to take a guess at what it is?

Scott has come the closet so far.

Someone on Jody’s Facebook account took a good guess, but Facebook doesn’t count.

I have no idea what that awesome thing is called, but it’s certainly a better excuse than most to hone your macro photography skills. Fascinating! I’m curious to know what it tasted/s like…

So what the fuck is it?

  5. Phillip says:

    It’s a broccoli-cauliflower hybrid.

We ate it last night, steamed. It has a cauliflower texture with some broccoli flavour. It’s not bad if you’re not a big fan of one or the other, and it’s worth a try either way.

I love broccoli, so I’ll just get broccoli next time.

Well Poop! The contest was over before I got here. I’ve eaten those before.

  7. Pender says:

Neat, I want one. I love broccoli and cauliflower.

What’s it really called, a cauliccoli, or a broccoliflower?

  8. Phillip says:

I Wikied it. It’s Romanesco broccoli:

Also known as broccoflower and coral broccoli.
