A Lotta Hot Peppers

Unusual gifts are one of the perks of having such a popular blog like SWT. The latest gift: a 4-litre bottle of pickled banana peppers.

What am I going to do with 4 litres of banana peppers? I suppose I could put them on a sandwich.

I tried them once 20 years ago or so. They were too hot for me back then; I may like them now.

I always have a bottle in the fridge. A little bit goes a long way — usually on individual pizzas, omelettes or tofu scramblers.

I don’t know what I’m going to do with 4 litres of them though. I think I’ll boil some Mason jars and then transfer them to the jars so they last longer.

If you can handle horseradish, you should be able handle a few hot peppers.

    I love those things.

Where’d the person who got em get em? I should pick up a 4L bottle :) I go through 1L bottles in a matter of days :D.

The person who gave them to me works at a school cafeteria and the school year is almost over. She was allowed to take home whatever she could carry that hadn’t been opened in the past year.

I assume that kind of thing can be bought at places like Costo.
