Two Friends in Ironman, Lake Placid

I have two friends competing in the Lake Placid Ironman tomorrow (July 24/11). It’s a 2.4 mile swim (3.9 km), followed by 112 mile bike ride (180 km), topped off with a 26.2 mile run (42.2 km).

We’ll be tracking them and checking out all the live updates all day tomorrow. It’ll take about 12 hours. Watch the informative parts of the video to see what they’re in for. It’s insane. They’re my new heroes.

Updates will appear in the comments.

They both finished the first 30 miles (48 km) in about 90 minutes. They’re are smokin’ that ride.

They both finished the Ironman. Crazy watching everyone cross the finish line. More than 11 hours of swimming, biking and running. Jesus.
