Danny Schmidt on Whole Wheat Radio
I think I’ve already said everything I can say about the music of Danny Schmidt. The guy is good — and he’s a fan of Townes Van Zandt, and it turns out he knew Jim and Esther at Whole Wheat Radio for a short while about 8 years ago. Nice coincidence.
Since I wrote about Danny’s music last week here on Steel White Table, Jim has added all of Danny’s online MP3s to the Whole Wheat Radio library; all of his songs are being rated either “Excellent” or “Favourite” by Whole Wheat Radio listeners; and December 29th is “Danny Schmidt Day” on Whole Wheat Radio, where they’ll play at least one of his songs every hour for the whole day. Nice.
