The Beer Trilogy: Episode I - Scotland

Phillip posted this at 8:18 pm under music & audio, phillip's room, reviews

Crappy BeerWhile picking up some groceries today, I stopped off at the liquor store and bought 3 bottles of imported beer — one from Scotland, one from Ireland, and one England. I decided I would do something that has never done: Record a podcast of me drinking and giving an on-the-spot review of said beer. This is such a great idea, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before! And because I’d be sampling 3 different beers, it’d be a trilogy — like Star Wars! (The original Star Wars, that is; I don’t accept The Phantom Menance nor The Attack of the Clones as a part of the Star Wars canon.) Cool.

So here’s the first 5-minute podcast of the Beer Trilogy: Episode I - Scotland [removed], in which I review a Scottish lager called TENNENT’S OF SCOTLAND (with real traffic noises from outside my window mixed in to give it some ambience.)

P.S., I didn’t link to the Tennent’s of Scotland website because they don’t have one.

Update (Jan. 7/06): This recording has been removed. (I gave the beer a thumbs down. It was awful stuff.)

You were getting groceries - does that mean you’ve completely exhausted what was in your larder, or is Jenny going to be home soon? :-)

Yes, I’d exhausted what was in my larder — last week. Didn’t take long, I’m afraid. It doesn’t mean Jenny will be home soon. She doesn’t get back until 2 days after Xmas. Which I am not happy about. Only in this taste of mind does a “beer trilogy” sound like a good idea. I don’t even like beer.

Anyway, just finished recording Episode III of the Beer Trilogy — Ireland, but I won’t post it until tomorrow. 15 minutes of podcasts in one night is enough.
