A Dram Of The Divine: Ardbeg

Jody posted this at 9:42 pm under appreciations, what i did today

ardbeg single malt scotchI opened a dusty bottle of Ardbeg today. It’s been sitting on my shelf for a few years.

The aroma was divine. Swirling it around in the small glass brought forth fragrances of peat, iodine, and citrus; and then a splash of water…

Moments like that I’d prefer to share with a fellow scotch lover.

I don’t think I could live without a good single malt in the house. 16 Lagavulin or 10 Laphroaig do me just fine. The 12 year old Lagavulin cask strength was disappointing though. Too bad.

I don’t think I’ve ever had Ardbeg. I’m too poor to sample them all.
