I’m not Voting Conservative

Published by Phillip under canada

I’m not voting Conservative in next week’s election. I don’t trust Stephen Harper and I don’t share his values. Here’s a video about it. (I didn’t make the video. I’m just posting it.)

Judging only from the leaders debate from last week, I would vote for Elizabeth May because she seems the most informed of all [...]

Who are you voting for?

Published by Phillip under canada

We’re having a general election in Canada on October 14th, 2008. I have a few questions:
1) If you’re Canadian, what party are you voting for?
2) Why are you voting for that party?
3) If you’re not Canadian but you follow Canadian politics (which is likely no one), of the 5 political party leaders, who would you [...]

If you read the comments [...]

It’s Roll Up The Rim To Win time again at Tim Hortons.

Their sales sky-rocket during this promotion, where customers have to roll up the rim of their beverage cup to reveal if they won anything, which includes a car, donuts, muffins, coffees, and for the first time: a boat!

This product makes it easy to check for prize statements hidden under the rims of paper coffee cups in various contests… it slices the cup rim twice when pushed down, and an internal lip unrolls the paper edge when it’s pulled up.

Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada

Published by Jody under canada

Half an Hour posted some great information about Moncton and its surrounding area (where I live), highlighting things the locals probably take for granted, like:

Magnetic Hill, which is a hill that makes you appear going up when you’re really going down. Strange, but true. He posted a good video of it.
Hopewell Rocks on [...]
