The Biggest LEGO Set Ever

Published by Jody under games

Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon™:
This is it - the biggest, most spectacular LEGO® Star Wars model ever! At almost 3 feet (90cm) long, it’s the ultimate centerpiece to any Star Wars collection!
$680 Canadian at the LEGO website, but $1,074.95 at amazon.com’s American site. Odd.
I hope it comes with a manual.
By the way, “LEGO” is from [...]

R2-D2 Mailbox

Published by Phillip under phillip's room

I wonder how many of these will get stolen? (I wouldn’t put my mail in one.)
From CBC.ca:
Three decades ago in a galaxy not so far away, filmmaker George Lucas launched Hollywood’s Star Wars phenomenon, and now the U.S. Postal Service is celebrating the film’s 30th birthday this year by decorating mailboxes to look like famed [...]

Kevin Spacey Impersonating Christopher Walken, Again

Published by Jody under humor, movies, tv & video

Star Wars Auditions:
Kevin Spacey plays Christopher Walken as Han Solo and the late Walter Mattau as Obi Wan Kenobi. Darrell Hammond plays Richard Dryfus as C-3PO. Classic sketch from SNL spoofing behind the scenes footage of “Star Wars, the 20th Anniversary Home Video.”
This originally aired in 1997, I think.

Lessons From Star Wars

Published by Jody under humor

A couple items from 10 things I have learned from George Lucas:
- Storm Trooper armor is purely cosmetic as it stops neither blaster fire nor little rocks thrown by teddy bears.
- Slaughtering children doesn’t necessarily make you an unappealing hero to children as long as you call the butchered kids, “younglings.”
Sedition concludes about the Star [...]

The Empire’s Animated Gif

Published by Jody under general

The Empire Strikes Back as a 2 minute animated gif.
I can’t imagine the effort to do something like that. I wish I was rich so I could waste my time on stupid stuff (I mean stupider stuff).

The Darth Side: Memoirs of a Monster:
Have I mentioned before that I am surrounded by idiots? Let me cut to chase and just tell you up front: the rebels got away. All of them.

The First Star Wars Episode III Trailer

Published by Jody under humor

Episode III trailer:
I wanted to be the first to produce a trailer for Episode III. I also wanted it to show most of the things that I expect to happen in that movie. Of course, since we don’t really know that yet, you could say that this is my interpretation of it. In a way [...]

Star Wars’ Eight-foot High Monkey

Published by Jody under quotes

How can you be so serious on a film where you are dodging explosions and running away with Sir Alec Guinness on this side and an eight-foot monkey on this side, and the eight-foot monkey is the one flying the spaceship?

Star Wars Performed In One Hour

Published by Jody under art, humor

The One Man Star Wars Trilogy:
is a one-hour, high energy, nonstop blast through the first three Star Wars films. The catch is, there’s only one cast member.
The 5 minute clip of his performance made me laugh. It’s a large MPG file.
