I recently ordered an ebook at amazon.com while in Detroit. Checking the status of the order, amazon displayed the above message in my order’s status page. After questioning my ethical alignment for 3 seconds (lawful-good? lawful-neutral? chaotic?), I emailed the screenshot to some friends, wondering what they’d do.
A few minutes later I checked the order again and the message was gone, so I didn’t get a change to press Apply balance to this order, although I don’t think I would’ve. I doubt it would have worked anyway, given how the credit amount was displayed. I didn’t send it to amazon because I couldn’t reproduce it.
