R.I.P. Neighbourhood Dog

A dog that’s roamed my neighbourhood for at least the past four years got hit by a truck yesterday. My neighbour, Edgar, just told me about it. Nobody knew the dog’s name but everyone around here knew the dog. It never barked or growled or begged for food, didn’t crap on my lawn and always took its time to get to where it was going. It was a filthy looking dog because its deadbeat owners left it outside all year round in all types of weather. But the little guy seemed pretty casual and Zen about his predicament.

Rest in peace little no-name dog.

  1. phillip could you write my obituary…you could use most of what you have already written here…..yup pretty much written…just substitue…my name for nameless dog and done….

“He never barked or growled,or begged for food, didn’t crap on my lawn and always took his time to get where he was going.”

I can only hope for kind words such as these…as long as when I visit phillip I can refrain from doing these things…it will be tough especially the tolietry issues….

  2. TOM PINK – R.I.P.

Tom never barked or growled or begged for food, didn’t crap on my lawn and he always took his time to get to where he was going. He was filthy most of the time because he was out outside all year round in all types of weather. But he seemed pretty casual and Zen about his predicament. Tom was a good dog. Rest in peace, buddy.

  3. ahhh I now have a calm sense…a warmth flows through me…(wink wink)….of course I may have just urinated in my pants…just wait…nope..no subsequent cold clammy feeling…(those who know me know this is false as I do not wear pants)

nope it is a true inner peace now that I know my obit is done..

    thanks phillip

  4. Tommyboy, where can I get a kilt like you wear?

There are just too many advantages to wearing a kilt — I can’t pass it up anymore.

  5.
