  1. When I was 10 my parents would take me to middle cove to catch caplin. We’d bring em home in a big plastic garbage can and I’d get up at 4 in the morning and clean them in the kitchen sink until it was time to go to school. We’d bag em and sell em for $5 a bag out of the back of the car near sobeys.

  2. Yep. I was one rich kid, exploiting the shit out of the environment.

    I’ve still never eaten a caplin, but I’ve murdered many thousands.

I have vague memories of putting them in gardens….or mayby it was seaweed…never ate em…as kids ya could get 4 smoked mackeral for a buck…and we were given those to eat as a treat, sided with the “potato chip” of the east..dulse….I hate dulse….give me some roasted chicken, processed, chemical laden hostess chips….
