A Mythbuster Busts Religion

Adam Savage from Mythbusters recently received the Annual Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award from the Harvard Humanist Society. Part of his acceptance speech:

I think one of the defining moments of adulthood is the realization that nobody’s going to take care of you. That you have to do the heavy lifting while you’re here. And when you don’t, well, you suffer the consequences…
While nobody’s going to take care of us, it’s incumbent upon us to take care of those around us. That’s community.

  2. okay you are doing some kinda computery hocus pocus….I am about to go to bed late..for my 4:30 saturday awakening and subsequent chaos..I check the weather network and then of course this site…and the little headery thingy references your undying efforts in this media are all done for yours truely….thanks for the chuckle…I am assuming it is random…just kinda found it funny tonight…

    phillip hope you survived the junos….on May 6 if you or the brudder are interested I managed to convince my board to sponser some ads on a new radio program here in owen sound called the 100 mile music show….one of the guys is an associate of mine…I have to think up some 30 second air time spots for the market….gotta think of something goofy…I am trying to convinve enio…that members of rush live within a 100 miles so hence there should be some rush on the show…I have been rebuffed and told that geddy lives 101 miles away from owen sound….enio was all happy that I got ad money…my response just like a politition…”just using other peoples money to help a friend”
