  1. Reading your Wikipedia link, I always thought DVD meant Digital Video Disc. But apparently it stands for Digital Versatile Disc. Hmph.

The last CD I ripped (though more than 30 minutes ago) was by Toots and the Maytals. Before that I think I ripped a Randy Newman CD.

  2. Funny you should ask. Right now we’ve got three computers ripping away. The current CDs in progress are:

    Sue Tucker, “Meant For You”
Hal Ketchum “Past the Point of Rescue”
Jethro Tull “Thick as a Brick”

I hope to finish the project today.

  3. The last album that I ripped was on 1-13-2005 – Alison Krauss and Union Station – “Lonely Runs Both Ways.”

  4. I haven’t ripped a cd in about 2 years. I think it was chemical brothers or some other group that you would never have ever heard of, unless I previously mentioned them.

  5. Phillip, you were right. It actually means both. Some say that “virtual” replaced “video” in the acronym, but others claim that “virtual” was first, but “video” caught on. Oh well. MY last disk ripped was abotu 40 various artists disks I burned for a long road trip. I drove to Newfoundland, vacationed, and drove back without listening to the same song twice. (Except if it was a cover by another band.)
