Whenever I taught high school social studies or civics I would expound upon the expectant engaged students my fond and life long desire to have my backside polishing the red leather seats of the senate…explaining to them that I need not be elected just appointed and that if any of them in their future endeavors made it to the position of the appointer that they were to remember their fond memories of the times in their youth and reward a weary teacher with an appointment to the senate…..at best I got blank stares…at worst…”fck you pink”…alas this post has brought back memories of long ago when anything was possible…

    in council we have panic buttons which when depressed bring the boys in blue…if I was chair I would have had buddy removed….the power…ohhhh the power…..over all that was much like council meetings…democracy…democracy..ha ha ha
