Raised Garden Bed & Potato Tower – Part 2

Part 1 was How to Build a Raised Garden Bed and Potato Tower. Part 2 is just a 2-minute video update on how the garden is looking these days.

Photos of the garden and the potato tower are continually added to the following slideshow:

UPDATE (Oct. 07/09): The potato tower did NOT work. We got some great potatoes from the first level, but nothing from the 2nd or 3rd level. Not a single sign of potato growth. There could be two reasons for this: 1) The potato tower concept just doesn’t work, or 2) We didn’t use 100% composted soil for the 2nd and 3rd levels of the tower. Updates will be posted after we’ve harvested the last of our veggies.

  1. The potato tower works!

We harvested some potatoes from the first level today and they look beautiful.

Photos and video updates to be posted soon.

  2. We harvested more potatoes today. Nice big fat red potatoes. The first level of the tower is turning out well. We’ve taken about a third of the potatoes from the bottom level and they’re purty darn nice. Photos have been posted.
