Testing Post Using Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Writer is a Microsoft product that…

makes it easy for anyone to tell stories like a professional blogger. You can create beautiful blog posts, and see what they’ll look like online before you publish them to your blog. Plus, you can publish your posts to any of your favorite blog service providers.

It’s a desktop program that allows me to post to this site without logging in and using WordPress’s shitty online editor.

I’m testing this mainly for Phillip’s sake.

  1. Yes, please, do it for my sake. And for the sake of the children, and for Jesus’ sake.

Did I tell you I’ve been sort of watching “Space: 1999”? That show must have been written by 11-year-olds for 11-year-olds. Not a single episode so far makes any sense in terms of the known universe and the laws of physics. Soft science fiction gives us sounds and explosions in space, which is forgiveable because the silence of real space is boring. But the writers of “Space: 1999” have no knowledge of physics and astronomy — or they’re all 11 years old. The Eagle ships are actually kind of cool, but everything else is painfully, horribly conceived and is pretty much unwatchable. I’ve only been able to sit through one entire episode so far, “The Last Sunset,” which also doesn’t make any damn sense (an atmosphere is produced on the Moon by an alien race and everyone runs outside to play badminton), but the episode has enough action to keep things entertaining on a so-bad-it’s-good level.

Makes for easy viewing for during weekend breakfasts.

  2. For jeebus sake? :). Ut oh, you just guaranteed Jody won’t be evaluating it any further Philip ;).

  3. So how do you like it?

The blog looks way different than last time I logged in. My favorite part is all the greyspace on either side of the content to remind me what an idiot I am not to be in 640×480 res because that’s all I need.

  4. I likes it! It positions text and images automatically and posts the content without needing to tweek it. Maybe I’ll post a review of it in regard to wordpress and drive millions of hits to this site.

  5. I’ve been using it for months. It really does make it super easy to create your posts… download the Polaroid plug in for your photos. It allows you to include a caption in the border frame and tilt the photos… neat feature.
